Habyts labels devices in terms of how they are used. This is important to help you determine how a device should be set up.
School Device: This is a device owned by the school but used by students solely for the purpose of completing school assignments and work inside or outside of school hours.
In some instances the same school device remains with one student for the entire length of their education. These are still classed as school devices and as such would need Habyts to be installed to ensure school rules are applied.
Teacher Device: A teacher device is any device! Teachers don't need to add the Habyts software onto their devices. You simply access your Teacher Dashboard though any web browser - Great for managing kids on the go!
Parent Device: A parent device can be their own personal device or a device they share with their child.
If a device is shared (for example a smartphone) it will need the Habyts software added to ensure the child settings are applied.
If the device is not used by a child, (like a Teacher device), parents can simply visit https://habyts.com on any web browser on any device to access their Parent Dashboard.
Child Device: A child device is a device used either solely by a child or shared with an adult. This requires the Habyts software to be installed on these devices to ensure controls are applied.
