To operate Habyts’ sophisticated access control features on your Apple iOS device, we use a VPN (Virtual Private Network) to communicate directly with Apple's servers. You can imagine the VPN as a gateway through which all your web traffic passes.
You can manually turn off this VPN if you wish.
Note: If you turn off the VPN, Habyts will not be able to monitor or filter web traffic on your device.
To disable the VPN:
- Go to ‘Settings > VPN’, and look for the ‘Habyts VPN’ listing.
- Tap the information icon next to ‘Habyts VPN’, then deselect ‘Connect on Demand’.
- Return to the ‘VPN’ panel.
- Ensure that ‘Habyts VPN’ is selected (blue tick) and that VPN status is ‘Not Connected’.
Note: If you try to disconnect before ‘Connect on Demand’ has been disabled, the VPN will re-activate.
After the Habyts VPN has been disabled, re-activation is only possible with the Parent Password.
