Monitor Me (Beta) lets parents monitor their own screen time usage - but only if desired. This is a new feature for Habyts so we have called it 'Beta' (for now) as we would love your feedback!
Ever wondered how long you spend on your device outside of work? I think most of us believe we have it under control until we actually see how long we spend on our devices and get quite a shock! Technology has crept its way into our lives and none of us really realize how dependent we are on our smart phones.
Take our Tech challenge and show your kids that tech used in moderation is achievable.
To use Monitor Me:
When you login to your account you will see your child's name at the top (in the blue status bar) of your Parent Dashboard.
To the left of your child's name is an arrow.
Select the left arrow and your header will turn green and say Me. This is your own dashboard and set up your own limits on managing your device.
You will see the following Tools:
- Monitor my device usage? - This has a default set to NOT monitor, change to get started.
- Set up my device for monitoring - Add the Habyts monitoring controls to your device.
- My Screen Time Today - Set the times of day you are at work (not counted as usage) and the target amount of time you wish to use your device outside of work.
Once you set your device up to monitor your activity you will be able to see how you have done over the week by tapping the Last 7 days option.
If your device is currently not a shared device then you will need to apply Habyts controls to your device so your usage can be monitored.
